Next to the tasty food it is Sibil.la’s casual, easy-going atmosphere that I come here for. The bright, slightly 60’s vintage interior, the beautiful hydraulic tiles that also adorn Sibil.la’s logo and the friendly staff. My favorite table is near one of the large windows where you can watch street life. Or join it on Sibil.la’s terrace on Carrer Blanquerna. It is open 365 days a year.
Carrer Blanquerna is right on my way to CineCiutat, my favorite cinema in Palma. So I pass Sibil.la regularly. Stop for a coffee before the movies or a drink afterwards. Especially during the summer when they also do cocktails. I like the neighbourhood for its lively mix of bars, cafés and small eateries with regular stores. Plus it is one of the very few pedestrian areas outside the avenidas.
Sibil.la is a great place any time of the day, from breakfast to nightcap. Maybe you meet friends by chance, or you go there with your loved ones. The crowd is a good mix, sometimes it feels like a long Sunday afternoon with my family. At lunchtime Sibil.la offers a three-course-menu, at night there is a small but lovely choice of tapas, salads and main dishes like curries, burger or pasta. Homemade with fresh ingredients from the local market.
