**** After 42 years, Bon Lloc closed its doors for good in January 2021. We terribly miss it. But two great new projects have emerged from it: Ca n’Ela and La Mujer De Verde. ****
Sometimes I just have this craving for a burger. Fortunately there have been some great additions to the burger scene in Palma like Raimundo, Lemon Tree or the Llonguet burgers at Es Trasto Petit (formerly Can Trispol). And while Bon Lloc is not the first place you might associate with buns and patties its burger is one of my favorites.
The pioneer of the good life,as I called Juanjo Ramírez in my first post in June 2015, opened his restaurant Bon Lloc decades ago. And the vegetarian paradise has not only conquered the hearts and bellies of locals and travelers. Juanjo has continually refined his cuisine and went all the way from vegetarian to vegan.
Yet for me the main reason to have lunch or dinner at the cozy restaurant on posh Carrer Sant Feliu is that the food is just incredibly good. Whether you do eat fish and meat or you don’t, you will certainly not miss it here. The nems (summer rolls) we shared as a starter were probably the most delicious I ever had. And the only problem with the burger was that it didn’t leave any space for the strawberries with mango and passion fruit. Next time I will start with dessert!
