As hard as this curfew is for all of us. We know that social distancing is a way of caring for others. But still and even more so in times of crisis we need to feel that we are in this together. That we are alone together. And part of a community. There are many ways to support each other. And many heroes in health care, grocery stores and markets. Neighbors who help each other. Distant friends who stay in touch via phone or social media. One of the particularly nice initiatives is a performance of Conte Contat for children. The appearance will be streamed live on Conte Contat’s YouTube channel this Saturday at noon.
A most welcome way to entertain children who miss their friends and lack mobility. And a way for artists to reach their audience. Let’s keep in mind that most of them are self-employed and badly affected by the economic crisis. Like many other freelancers and entrepreneurs, shop owners, coffees and restaurants. As useful and convenient online services might be – please support your local community in times like these. And continue doing so even more once we are allowed to get back to our day to day lives.
Stay safe.
