The cozy Italian bistro smells temptingly of melted cheese, bolognese and warm bread. Jazzy tunes play in the background while Elena introduces the dishes of the day. And the shelves with culinary treats add to the unique atmosphere of Insóli.to where you get some of the best home-made delicacies.
„In Italy we call it gastronomia,“ Elena explains, „a small eatery with typical homemade food where people get take-away dishes.“ Ravioli with mortadella and ham are one of the classics at Insóli.to. And as always with pasta, they simply make you happy. The same goes for gnocchi with pesto, one of the veggie options.
You can also reserve a place at the high tables or at the bar. In view of the open kitchen, where chef Denis is juggling the pasta dough. Thus enjoying your Little Italy getaway a bit longer.
In addition to a couple of daily changing plates there are regular meals like parmigiana, cannelloni and caponata. A best-of Italian cuisine, prepared with ingredients from the Bel Paese. And if you don’t feel like you’re in Italy yet, the crostata and an espresso will take you straight there.
As in every deli, you can also buy a few basic foods here. Pasta, of course, from one of the oldest pasta factories in Italy. Lemonade made from the famous limoni of the Amalfi Coast. Or durum wheat cookies, perfect for the next aperitivo. In case you plan a private dinner, Insóli.to also offers catering.
Insólito means extraordinary and so is this bistro. The „.to“ at the end of its name a proud reference to Torino, the city where Elena and her son Denis come from.
