30 Years CEF Mallorca: Pictures of an Exhibition

What a great idea to celebrate 30 years CEF Mallorca, three decades of the School of Audiovisual Arts. Artists who are closely associated with the private university have each chosen a piece of work. The result is an impressive panorama that illustrates the development of CEF Mallorca. And a best-of Mallorcan photography at the same time.

The motifs, though, are as diverse as the photographers who selected them. Some are well-known and successful far beyond the island, others up-and-coming artists representing a new generation. But all linked to CEF Mallorca one way or another, from student to professor. What started as an educative project focused on photography has long become a renowned institution for all kind of audio-visual media.

Today, the CEF is a pillar of Mallorca’s film scene. Productions realized at the top-notch CEF facilities won prestigious awards. And the center collaborates with both local television and the Mallorca International Film Festival EMIFF.

The photo exhibition at La Misericòrdia runs through February 17. All the more reason to pay a visit to the impressive cultural center. From famous Biblio Jardí to the recently renovated and reopened Aljub, it often features exciting events and exhibitions.
