Just a few months ago, I introduced you to my favorite specialty coffee shops in Palma. There has been a number of more exciting openings since then. One of them being Nano Coffee Lab, actually more of a bar than a café. But a great place for a quick caffeine fix or a short break during your city stroll. Take a seat at the narrow wall-mounted table and watch the barista fix your coffee.
In their glass vitrine you find a nice choice of sweet and savory snacks. Lemon cake and banana bread, croissants and muffins, or tasty sandwiches and focaccia. While the sourdough bread comes from Uco Bakery, the vegan pastries are made at Mama Carmen’s. That comes as no surprise, Nano Coffee Lab is indeed an offshoot of Santa Catalina’s most popular veggie café.
My favorite place at Nano is outside on the tiny wooden bench by the shop window. Just opposite the latest collection of auka, the popular women’s fashion brand for from San Sebastián. Leaning back on quiet Carrer Asprer I love to watch the hustle and bustle of Avenida Jaime III beyond the porticoes. Nano Coffee is also a good address when you’re running late. Unlike many other specialty coffee joints it’s open until 6 p.m.
