Ditch your shoes, sit back in one of the comfortable wicker chairs and take in the scenery. Patiki Beach is one of the latest additions to Mallorca’s famous chiringuitos. And already popular among beach lovers and foodies alike. The restaurant at the end of Playa Repic offers a fabulous view of Port de Sóller and the surrounding Tramuntana range. And it spoils you with a choice of delicious Mediterranean dishes.
Raw ingredients are the stars of the menu, combined with a large dose of spices, nuts and flavors. We indulged in juicy chunks of chilled watermelon with feta dressed in olive oil and flor de sal, amply topped with parsley and mint. Even more so in the magic brioche with pulled chicken, aioli, celery and fresh herbs. And happily shared a crispy pan fried sea bass with sweet roast tomatoes, zucchini and loads of greens.
For chef Grace Berrow the valley of Sóller is a sun-drenched paradise. It offers almost everything she needs in the kitchen. Fruit, vegetables and herbs come from nearby gardens and orchards. Farm to table, so the menu of Patiki Beach rolls with the season. And while the lampshades are gently swaying in the breeze we decide to stay for another Mocktail, the tasty virgin Mojito. It may be October by now, but at Patiki Beach it still feels like summertime.
