Bright colors, clear cuts and extraordinary prints characterize the styles of Suite13 LAB. Womenswear designed in Palma and made in Barcelona from pure organic fabrics. When Maria Trepat and Alexia Izu founded their own label in 2014, they were pioneers in sustainable fashion on Mallorca. Today, their apparel is not only sold at the boutique close to Plaça Major but in select fashion stores throughout Europe.
Like the clothing the show room of Suite13 LAB in the heart of Palma reflects the light of the Mediterranean. Sorted by shade the pieces hang from single metal bars off the ceiling. It’s a pleasure to browse through the recent collection. This summer, my favorite designs come in a Miró-inspired print, like the square jacket with matching bottoms. Or the multi position dress, a versatile slip dress that can be worn in about a dozen different ways.
Suite13 LAB does not follow trends. The two designers set a trend by creating beautiful ethical clothes for women. And with Heaven Lab, Maria and Alexia introduced a second, more casual fashion line. Floating skirts and dresses, soft shirts, and fancy jumpsuits for your daily wear. Produced in India and Turkey under fair working conditions, using organic fibers certified under the GOTS scheme.
Now, all their Mediterranean apparel goes by the brand Suite13 LAB.
