Two events in Palma attract art lovers from all over the world. The season starts with Art Palma Brunch in spring. But the highlight of the year is always the Nit de l’Art. Palma’s galleries have hosted this art night for more than twenty years. This time, however, the event follows a rather different schedule. Thanks to the creativity of the members of Art Palma Contemporani the Nit de l’Art ’20 will take place despite the challenges of the pandemic. They rescued the format by turning night into day.
Or days, respectively. From Wednesday to Saturday, 16-19 September, Palma’s most renowned galleries and museums are hosting special exhibitions and temporary shows. Every day from 12 to 6pm Aba Art Lab, Fran Reus, Horrach Moyà, Kewenig, Pelaires, Pep Llabrés and Xavier Fiol welcome guests and curious passers-by. Casal Solleric, CaixaForum, Es Baluard, Fundació Miró Mallorca, the Centre Cultura Sa Nostra and CCA Andratx also take part in the event.
I love the artsy atmosphere in Palma during the Nit de l’Art. Wandering around, discovering exciting new artworks, meeting like-minded people or bumping into an admired artist. You can find more information about the program, the participants and the whereabouts right here.
