Hola guapa, qué tal? Un besito! Bar Flexas is the place where people know each other, kiss and hug, or just call for someone familiar who happens to pass the prominent corner in Sa Gerreria. Almost ten years ago, the (re)opening of Bar Flexas paved the way for the revitalization of a whole barrio. Moltabarra, Plaer Natural, Ca La Seu and others followed. But Flexas is still the hub of the quarters cultural and social life. From Canamunt to their own anniversary celebrations, the parties hosted or organized by the Flexas team and their neighbors are legendary in Palma and beyond.
Come for lunch or a café solo in the afternoon, have a beer later on, or stop by for a nightcap – Flexas is always the place to be. If you want to grab a bite at night better reserve a table because it can get rather crowded towards the end of day. You’ll find a nice choice of tapas and hearty, typical Mallorcan dishes on their menu freshly prepared in the small half-open kitchen, that always reminds me of an Art Deco style train compartment. You know by the bar’s interior that it’s been there a while – if they could talk, the beautiful old tiles on the floor, the wonderful bar or the cast iron columns could certainly tell stories.
Now that it’s getting warm again, I love to sit at one of the coveted places right in the French windows, halfway on the narrow street, watch people on the move and meet friends walking by. No need to mention that on Tuesdays Bar Flexas is one of the hotspots of Ruta Martiana. See you!
