To be honest, I had never stopped at Iceberg’s until I discovered that some of my favorite Mallorcan restaurants serve its ice cream for dessert. The Iceberg storefront reminded me too much of the candy stores at the touristy parts of Jaume II, Can Miquel and Sindicat. Now that I know better, I consider the shop design rather pop than pink and enjoy one of their many phantastic flavors, every once in a while.
And become unfaithful to my all time champion, a very traditional Palmesan Heladeria. Stay tuned, and I will let you know where to get twenty different kinds of chocolate ice cream during the summer season. Until then, Iceberg – which claims to serve the second best ice cream in Spain – is always a tasty alternative.
Don’t miss the Orange sorbet from Sóller with fresh mint and cardamom. If Iceberg decides to present this gusto at the international finals of Gelato World Tour 2014 in Rimini, we will all keep our fingers crossed that this genuine Mallorca flavor makes it to the podium.
